Teaching swimming for children with Autism spectrum
Today we are sharing the 1st video of teaching swimming for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). When a swimmer becomes familiar of the swimming pool area and the water and starts feeling comfortable during the lesson.This is one of the lessons for the Swim your way project that the Laboratory of Adapted Physical Activity/Developmental & Physical Disabilities (APALab) of NKUA delivered according the adapted swimming lessons that they created.Δήμητρα Κουτσούκη, Καθηγήτρια ΕΚΠΑ/Dimitra Koutsouki Professor NKUA is the Scientific Supervisor of the Project for APALab of NKUA.Katerina Asonitou, Sophia Charitou, Laboratory Teaching Staff and Ifiyenia Koskina Fitness & Pilates Coach and Research Fellow, in the APALab of NKUA, are monitoring the process of all lessons. Anna Galaiou, PE teacher, performed all lessons.
